I am Ashley. I am a bilingual EMDR therapist who helps people heal from challenging childhoods, unhealthy relationships, and other distressing or confusing things.
Coping tools can be helpful, but the clients I work with want to get to the root of their struggles because other temporary or “band-aid” approaches haven’t worked. While the content may feel heavy, I weave creativity, compassion, and humor into our work together so you can experience increased insight and peace and reduced anxiety and depression. I believe the answers you are looking for are already inside of you and I am here to help you on the journey of self-discovery.
Anxiety & OCD
Anxiety can show up like racing thoughts, feeling on edge, filled with self-doubt, or constantly feeling overwhelmed or out of control. OCD can look like frequent unwanted thoughts and intense rumination, checking, counting, cleaning, or other methods of trying to push the thoughts away.
With therapy, you can start to feel confident and in control again or for the first time.
Relationship Stress
You may be getting out of a unhealthy relationship or currently struggling in your friendships, family relationships, or in your romantic relationship. You can learn healthy communication skills, boundary setting, and start feeling connected to yourself and others again.
Trauma
Past painful experiences often impact how you feel, think, and react in the present. It’s time to stop struggling to survive. With therapy to get to the root of your issues, you can begin to heal and start thriving.
HOW I WORK
I believe therapy should be simple.
Step 1: Reach out
Schedule a free, no-obligation consultation to decide if I’m a good fit for you. If we are, great! We’ll schedule your first appointment and begin mapping out a path to your goals. If not, no problem. I’ll refer to you to another talented therapist in my network who can help.
Step 2: Get started
During our first session, I’ll learn more about you and we’ll collaborate on your goals for therapy.
Step 3: Make progress
We’ll meet weekly or biweekly to make progress towards what matters the most to you.
Step 4: Achieve insight and peace
When we reach the end of therapy, you will hopefully feel more joy, peace, and in control, with a renewed sense of self.
