ASHLEY CONSTANZO, TRAUMA, ANXIETY, AND EMDR THERAPIST IN FLORIDA
It’s time to heal from the past and start enjoying your present.
Your life has been a series of painful experiences. Peace might feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?
If so, you’re in the right place.
I’m Ashley, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping people like you feel better in your daily life.
I work with clients who struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, depression, OCD, and simply trying to understand how to step out of survival mode. I have years of experience working with adults and teens to develop healthy coping and communication skills, understand how to build healthy relationships, and improve self-esteem. Clients choose to work with me because they are ready to finally start feeling better, more confident, and in-tune with who they truly are.
Your therapy journey will be as unique and individual as you. The direction of our time together will be driven by your goals and what issues you are struggling with. We will often focus on strategies to tackle what is affecting you the most in the present moment. This will look like learning grounding and coping skills, communication skills, and boundary setting. Other times, we will explore your past so you can gain insight into your present-day problems. No matter where you are on your journey, my hope is that you will gain valuable insight into the why behind your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, and the how you can see the change you desire.
Therapy with me isn’t just sitting & talking.
We’ll also work on real, practical skills that you can use in your daily life.
You’ve tried to power through the pain, or numb it with social media, work, or other things that make you feel disconnected. You’ve noticed that trying to ignore or talk yourself out of your struggles feels like a band-aid on a gaping wound and you’re ready to go deeper to heal the source of your pain.
Therapy with me goes to the root of the issues that impact you today, meaning we take time to explore your early childhood experiences, relationship history, culture, and other factors unique to your story.
However, we won’t stop at simply talking about your past. We will also dive into understanding your present-day reactions and emotions, why that actually make sense in the context of your life, and what we can do to shift the reactions that are no longer serving you.
Why work with me?
My training in a variety of anxiety and trauma treatments, such as EMDR and IFS, means I have the expertise you need. However, I have also experienced trauma and debilitating anxiety. Our internal worlds and lived experiences will certainly be different but I know what it’s like to feel alone, misunderstood, or like there is no way forward. I’m here to share that if you are struggling, it does not mean there is something wrong with you. We could all use a little help to heal.
My clients and people who know me describe me as deeply empathetic and able to hold space for very raw, painful emotions. While the content may feel heavy in our sessions, I incorporate creativity and humor as we work together to increase insight and peace while alleviating anxiety and depression. We will dive into the past to explore its connection to your present while developing skills and self-compassion that you can take into your future.
